Well he already has his RV blown up in Canada. As usual of course, he was involved in drugs:

Story

On following morning edit, many did not seem to understand I was using this to illustrate how incidents in Mexico are distorted & blown out of proportion by the press. Seemed like a good opportunity to create my own sensational headline to demonstrate. Sorry if so many below did not get it. Sarcasm is sometimes lost on the recipient, of course.

Boy that was the most detailed article I have ever read about the problems in Mexico.

But come on, the victim can NOT even be remotely compared to an RV'er! The guy was a drug dealer who obviously ticked off one of his drug buddies bad enough for them to put an explosive device on his MH and when he survived that, the assassins finished him off!

HA HA ?? He is trying to keep Gringos going to Mexico!!
Paul ammend this thread please or I will tear your Viva Mexico zappers off my vehicles!
Listen Children this is serious business. Dont joke about Canadians conducting criminal activitees international. It reflects on me and you! And I say GREAT ANOTHER CANADIAN CRIMINAL KILLED!!
And by the way the RCMP are doing a very good public relations item on this event. Pointing out to BC people that dealing with the criminal element does not go off the radar screen no matter where you go. This low life thought by going to Mexico he was safe. No he wasnt - RCMP knew he was there and his criminal adversaries knew it to. the Press release names names and names. They know who the criminals are but in our left leaning legal system it is difficult to confict criminals!!
This is not a joking matter!!
As a law abiding Canadian travelling Mexico, a Criminal Canadian tryin g to harbour in Mexico impacts my law abiding reputation, and we dont joke about it!

Of course, I was being sarcastic. My title illustrates how headlines about Mexico can, & often are deceiving.

Good riddance to these guys. It would not surprise me if it was a rival Canadian gang member who took him out, not a Mexican cartel. On the news they are concerned that here in Abbotsford where the gang he belongs to is based there will be a revenge killing. As long as these guys keep taking each other out we are all better off. The danger of course is that they get an innocent bystander. The guy was obviously in Mexico to buy drugs. Reminds me of a similar case in January in Culiacan.

I hope this sends a strong message to other Canadians who decide to go to Mexico to buy drugs. Stay away from them & you will be just fine, get involved with them and you run a risk. Most tourists who get themselves killed in Mexico are involved in drugs. That was the point of my post.

I have to agree with Lew on this one Paul. I read the report on MSN and did note that the Victim was in an RV that was Blown up at Whistler, BC some time back. It doesn't say that He Owned the RV ,He was merely inside one.

This hardly qualifies the creep as being an RV er and should Not be even distantly related to Rv ing in Mexico.

He was Not Rv ing when He met His demise. He Was in a Starbucks, so maybe we should all avoid drinking Coffee!

Seems that we don't need trolls; we are fully capable of shooting ourselves in the foot.
