Any of you guys (besides rollingrock ) use a pressure washer to clean your trucks and or RV’s ? I’ve always been the kind who don’t use car wash’s, ( like it would fit ) always done by hand.
Finally got around to getting one for the house and it sure seems like it could do some damage to a vehicle with improper use.
Any good, bad advice is appreciated.
Yes, I use it on current and past vehicles & RV's.

I have a 3000 psi model from Northern Tool. I use all but the zero degree nozzle on my vehicles and haven't done any damage. I would bet that the zero degree nozzle would cut paint and would definitely remove decals.
It works great on bugs and bird crap. It still is no substitute for a soapy mitt though, but it gets the heavy stuff.

Former Ford IDI and 7.3 PSD guy, hope to get back into a diesel someday.
Use ours periodicaly, its only about 1500psi and never closer than about 12 inches, even further away around decals and openings. It is a good water saver.

I use them on the truck when traveling but don't EVER use them on the trailer. there are simply DOZENS of places that are sealed with caulk on an RV and those pressure washers have the ability to remove it EASILY if you hit the wrong place.

we (my family) have one that puts out is 4,000psi works great you just have to be careful with it will remove paint as easy as the dirt if you do it wrong

Nice.
You can but turn down the pressure way down and never point the wand directly at the paint, this drives dirt and other contaminates into the paint..try to wash in a down angle away from the paint.
Best way to wash is always the two bucket method with a good car soap and quality microfiber cloth.
Most paint problems come from poor washing and drying. Using Cotton to dry is a major no no.
If you want more info, I can point you in the right direction. It may take a little investment, like 2 5 gal buckets, some quality MF's and some for drying you will be all set and looking all "rollingrockesk"
