My insurance company is forcing me to change to either an Accu-check or One Touch Glucose Monitor, or pay significantly more for my current brand of test strips - I've used the same meter for 7+ years, so I know the new ones will be a lot different. I would like to hear from anyone who uses either of these meters regarding simplicity of use, correctness of readings, etc. I don't need a meter that talks to me or one that will do everything but let the cat out - just a simple to use, reliable, meter.

I have used One-Touch for 13 years and if you have a problem, they will overnight you a new meter without any questions after talking to them on the 800 line

I use One Touch - as accurate as any other meter and very easy to read!

My DW is a nurse, she has used both meters on patients and found both to be quality units and are widely used by hospitals and Diabetics.

My wife has used the Accu-Check brand for at least 10 years, no problems. Periodically when she had blood work done, she and the lab will compare the readings from her Accu-Check to the actual lab work, they have always been the same or very close.

I am satisfied with my One Touch. A very fast machine. I understand you should get a new meter every 3 or 4 years.

I have several One_Touch meters. I keep them in various places, work, FW, Shop and my desk at home. Five seconds from touching the blood to getting a reading. Very accurate and easy to use.
I would choose One-Touch if I had it to do all over again.

I use Accucheck meter with the drum simply because I drop the dang strips on the floor. I have used it now for about ten years. I replace the battery every two years. No problems at all.

I also use One Touch and have found it to be accurate and easy to use. And if you ever have questions about your meter, their customer service is very friendly and helpful.
