I have used all types from farm land ,to combo mobile home /RV parks, state parks to RV resorts, some with older trailers to some with trailer age restrictions… a few most others might not want to stay in, and I have had great stays in all of them…
I enjoy being in the woods or by the poll, on the golf coarse or in the club house… a park full of kids or over 55 parks… in any park or on my owned RV lots…
Speaking of being on the golf coarse, I found one I love and can play well…
I think that is what makes this lifestyle so great.. I have choices and a lot of them… its like going to the ice cream store and wondering which should I try next???
Its just reasonable to expect that there would be groups formed in parks with seasonal or permanent sites that you wouldn’t find in all transient park… but I have not really found them to be less friendly, they just already have a circle of friends they instinctively turn to… to a transient that may make it seem like the two way street is longer in one direction than it is in the other…

Then yet not far from that same CG is another CG that has a lot of seasonals, and it looks like a trailer park cousin eddie style. I'd not have any interest camping at a place where the seasonals can't even take care of their site. It's a real eyesore. I camped there once, before I knew much about it, and it's easy to tell that a CG is only as good as its management. The manager at this place jsut seemed like he had no interest in the place at all, and the type of clientele he attracted were very similar.
I think a lot depends on the owners of the CG, if they promote to their seasonal campers that everyone is welcome it creates a great enviroment for all. I have camped at a lot of CG that were 75% seasonal and only had a couple that I felt the cold shoulder.

I think the different types of camping does net different types of conversation and interaction between themselves.
The RV'er who only has 72 hours to pack as much fun and enjoyment camping as he can for his family, would most likely prefer to be parked next to and chit chat with people who are out there for the same reason with the same time frame and level of let's have fun!
I have read posts where campers make comments that they were parked in a CG next to another camper where nobody did anything and turned early, etc etc. and then ended their posts that they thought them to be snobs.
Full timers pass through and snowbirds all stay in the same type of RV's as them and since we don't put signs in our windows saying what we are, they assume that since we are not out 'doing things' all weekend like them, we must be antisocial.
WELL, Full timers an Snowbird's, we have all the time in the world to do things and if we don't do it today there's always tomorrow to come out of our RV's to join in, or not!

We are seasonal campers here in SE Michigan. We have been to a few campgrounds where the other seasonals are snobbish. Most seasonal campgrounds have their clicks and stay in them.
Weekenders, or transit campers come in all different forms. From those whom are very friendly to those whom think they own the CGs. Yes we have run into both.
We are at a CG this year that just reopened and already are seeing the clicks forming. Owners and their friends are the worst offenders. There are the young weekenders that will keep you up all night with their parties. Those whom will steal from you. BUT!!
There are those that you wish would stay a lot longer too. I love to spend time with their kids and show them the ropes of camping.
Then there are those that you just have to laugh at. They have no clue what how to camp and won't take any help either.
