Hello

Can anyone give me any info on Calvanaire? I can't find anything on the internet other than that the company went bust a few years back. We just bought a 1989 calvanaire on a dodge Ram 250.

Any info or experience would be helpfull.

Thanks

Thanks for the help. It is a 1989 Dodge Ram 250 full size van. It is equiped with sink toilet stove and fridge but as far as we can tell unlike other Class Bs it has only Black and fresh water tanks.

Also I believe it to be Canadian. Not even sure it was sold in the U.S. originally.

Would apreciate any other info anyone has. We are slowly discovering new stuff everyday it seams.

I know they went out of business quite awhile ago. I didn't know they even made Class B's.
This is the only thing I could find, and it's a Class C.

Probably most of the appliance manuals can be found on line. I would take it to a good RV mechanic, and let them explain the systems to you. All Class B's of that era were pretty much wired, and plumbed the same, with some minor differences

The black tank might be a combo black/ gray tank.

Yes it is Canadian.

I worked for Calvanaire as a design draftsman for ten years until they where sold to Glendale. The factory was in Strathroy Ontario. We built under the name of Travelaire and Holidaire. The Class-B motor home was built in another small factory down the road. the fibre glass top was manufactured in the USA in Indiana. If there is anything I can help you with let me know.
