My fiver vent in the bedroom has wiring looks like for an additional air conditioner how can you hook a fan like you have in the bathroom dont want another air conditioner but a reversable fan would be great any help out there Thanks
We had an '88 mallard that had a wire at a vent for 120V AC. I moved cable/wire from the 120V ac side of the panel to the 12v dc side, then added a 12v dc fan in the vent.
Over the many years as RV'ers, we have noticed that most Vents had a Ceiling Light very close to the Vent. If your sure you don't have any 12 volts up there now, test with a Multi-Meter. Then if not, just Piggy-Back the Ceiling Light for your power.
I have done that with quite a ferw different RV's over the years. Its very simple in most cases.
I just took out the rear air in my MH and used the 120v wires to power the Fantastic Vent by disconnecting them from 120v at the fan selector switch and making a jumper to a 12v fuse. Didn't have to drill & fish new wires and it's reversible back to 120v if a rear air is ever added.
