Live and learn.
Lesson learned develop a routine and follow it. Write it down in sequence until it becomes 2nd nature. Don't stop in the middle of a task.

No harm no foul! We have all been there at some point but it is critical that you learn from your mistakes or camping will become an expensive activity.

AT least you didnt run off and leave the wife in the camp ground bath room hehe...

I did that once (as a joke of course) and never told her anything different. Just said " I got to thinking I was missing something" She was standing outside when I drove around the camp ground road...

I've only been at this year but I'm glad my 12 yr old son is out there with me when I setup/take down. I've included him an explained everything I was doing at the time. Mainly to make sure I was not forgetting anything but he's doubled checked me many times and caught problems like that beforehand. Nowadays I just back up the truck and he can pretty much do everything else.

Either way I guess the point I'm trying to make is, its not that big of a deal you learned a lesson fairly cheap and get your family involved in helping you.

With one of my previous trailers, I was all loaded, hitched up, and ready to go. I was just about to pull out of the driveway while waving to my neighbor with the Class C, I shifted it into drive and heard a loud bang. I look and the trailer was about 16 inches lower. I forgot to put the pin that keeps the hitch in place on the truck and the hitch stayed hooked up to the trailer while I started to drive off. The trailer had the spare tire mounted under the tounge and it acted as a rubber bumper as it hit the grass fortunately!

That's the worst thing that happened? You skated. Imagine watching your one day old Airstream rolling down an incline towards a massive oaktree. Thank heavens the front jack dug into the ground.

As others have said. get your routine down and follow it. By the way other accidents and mishaps will happen. Have a laugh and go with the flow.

Not so fast here. My firm has represented hundreds of clients just like him. He has suffered great mental anguish and needs immeadiate physicatric to keep from sinking into a deep and lasting depression. It is common for people in his condition to take full responsibility, even though they are in not in a sound state of mind to make such a decision.

We here at the legal begal law firm would be honored to take the case.

I just wanted to add to my first post. Routines are critical. It is also very important that YOU do EVERYTHING in that routine. It was mentioned earlier to not deviate or allow yourself get distracted, great advice. I would like to add that if you have an offer from a fellow camper or friend to 'assist' you with your set up or tear down, politely decline and keep on track!
