Buy it, but don't be in a huge rush to sell the 250. When you decide which truck you prefer, then sell the other.

I think it is what you need and what suits your needs.

If you ask a question like that you will always get the "do it now" comments from the folks that own the dually.

i am happy with my SRW and also don't have the big butt to contend with.

it suits my needs.

Have had both and there is NO comparison, go with the Dually. If you can, keep your 99 and then you will have a choice for awhile, just in case you don't like the dually. The market for 99-03 7.3 PSD is very good and you will get top dollar for yours, plus it will sell quickly, when you're ready.

I would do it. We own a shortbed 01 7.3 Single wheel and the stability of using the dually would be the deal sealer. My question though is this going to be a daily driver also. How often will you pull your trailer? These questions I would ask myself first before making the deal. Just my two cents worth.

All I can say is that we went from a 2500hd to a 3500hd dual wheel and would never go back to towing our 35'6" 5th wheel with a single rear wheel truck. To me it was like night and day the 3500 dual wheel is so much better and even better if you dont use it for a everyday driver.Good luck

i pull a 39ft 18k gvwr toyhauler. i just went from f250 short bed cc to a f350 cc dually. no comparison. pulls better, brakes better, better ride, more stable. i love my dually. no airbags required.

for that rainy, windy ,twisting road. for when i gotta stop quickly on a curvy mountain road. i have the right truck.

I'll go along with the "do it" crowd, if its possible for you. You're also gaining extra cab room, and the long bed will make a difference in towing also. If you don't jump on it, somebody will.

For a 35' 5er, IMO you'd benefit from the DRWs.

If you had a smaller, lighter 5er or TT then the decision would be more complex.

The longer wheelbase (LB vs SB) will add stability too.

You can always go aftermarket for nice leather seats if you miss those in your current Lariat.

You're also gaining a crew cab vs. ext cab, and less miles to boot.

Do it.
