I am totally with the OP. Sure, all of us want the job to be performed properly and at a reasonable price. However, that does not mean we are obligated to put up with rude and nasty behavior. It's okay for the clerical staff to be rude because the mechanics work hard and do a good job? This does not cut it with me.

I would never knowingly take any of my vehicles to a place like this unless it was a dire emergency and there were no other choices within a reasonable distance.

When traveling, good service places may be hard to find, but I check with the locals. Believe it or not, there are places that provide good service with employees that are kind and considerate of the customers. Sometimes you just have to look a little harder to find them.

Did the OP not say that the one fixing his RV was the owner??? So if the front staff is rude why not say something to the owner???

You are correct; the mechanic was the owner and the OP stated he was nice. I don't know why they did not take the issue up with the owner. However, sometimes the owner does not deal with the scheduling, billing and payments; this is handled by the office clerical staff. For example, my doctor is extremely nice, but his office staff is nasty. That is not just my opinion, but most of his patient's opinions. A rude office staff can lose a business a lot of customers. Seems to me that the owner needs to have a serious talk with his office staff regarding how to properly treat and talk to customers.

The operation was family. The person in question appeared to be the wife. Thank you for your comments Ray. When you spend almost $1500 you do not want to be treated like dog droppings.

You are welcome. Sometimes we just have to get over it and move on; there is nothing that we can change. Failure to forget the incident just prolongs our agony. Wishing you the best and safe travels as you continue your journey. Take care.

P.S. Sorry I don't know how my response got out of order. Must be an age thing.
