Two years ago I had someone install a TV in one of outside doors(basement). He also installed a radio and speakers . Well everything has been working fine untill a couple of days ago I turned on the inverter and it wouldn't go on. BTW when he did this installation he put in a separate 400 watt inverter. I called him (installer) and he's working and can't come to check it untill 2 weeks. We are leaving on a 3 week trip to Texas and wanted to use the TV .
Do you know if there is a fuse or can I just install a new inverter . I can see 2 wires (positive and negative) running from the back of the inverter to a small hole but not sure where those are going.

Yes, any inverter should be installed with a fuse at or very close to the battery-end of the positive wire.

Clearly, verify that your inverter has 12 VDC before concluding that it does not work.

Can you take the lid off the inverter to see if there is 12 volts there. Or there might be a fuse inside it perhaps, or the wires from the battery may have a fuse and the feed to the box might be dead.

Take your multimeter and check to see if the 12v lines have power.

Nothing is serviceable inside the inverter. You don't have to take it apart to see if it has power. If it has a fuse it is external. Bad suggestion.

Installation manual for Heart Interface/Freedom inverter-chargers state that a fuse must be installed within 18" of the battery. Mine is in the battery compartment, mounted to a support post close to the batteries. The battery connects to one side of the fuse, and the inverter positive lead connects to the other side. If you find such an installation in your coach, you can use a meter or test light to see if power is going through the fuse. Probably a 200 amp or 300 amp fuse.

I have located the problem and want to thank all who responded for your help. It was a broken electrical connector that went to the battery. I replaced that and
everything is working now. Thanks again
