My Polar Cub is about 10 years old. It is starting to act up pretty sure a capacitor don't want to drop much $ only to have total failure What is the life span on a roof unit?

We have had our unit since 2006 and its still going strong. A cap is not much money, might buy you some time. Unfortunately we live in a replace rather than repair age.

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

Rv air conditioning is probability one of the least maintained item on a RV as a whole, like any equipment it should have regular maintenance to get max life out of that equipment, my air conditiong unit is about 10 years old and is doing fine. Take it in or have a moble tech check your unit out, it just may need some maintance.

The roof air on my '71 Winnibego Brave is still kicking out sub arctic air. I think it uses like 5000 watts to turn on, but works great!
