If you start a new thread on that topic, everyone could help solve that mystery problem you are having. Sounds interesting (not at all typical)

Exactly, you should only discharge a battery to 50 percent of its rated amp hour rate if you want it to last. When the lights dim you are way beyond 50 percent. That is why most trailer batteries only last a year or two. Without an amp hour meter you have no idea what you are doing to your batteries.

No Duracell's around here. Sam's carries the Energizer brand here but has 2 sizes. The bigger one is item 263769 & they don't list the dimensions or weight. Costco only carries the one equivelant to the smaller Energizer. Sams Club GC2's The Energizer tag shows it is made by Johnson Controls.
I'll try to get there tomorrow with my scales & weigh them.
Reason for "research"?: Knowledge , had to say it.....sorry
A "little" research here in Nevada reveals that the Costco and Sam's Club batteries each cost $78.83 (Competition perhaps). So comparing and therefore purchasing the two available in this market (Reno) is a no brainer as the Sam’s unit (Energizer) has 208AH and the Costco (Interstate) has 220AH. The two batteries come with the same warranty.

I just left both Costco and Sam's Club here in Phoenix, AZ looking at the 6V golf cart batteries, and here is what I found locally: The Sams Club Energizer CG battery has 220 amp hours and costs $78.83. The Costco Interstate CG battery costs $79.99. I could find no amp hour rating on the Costco battery, and the Costco employee had no stats and no idea of the amp hour rating. Both batteries advertise 12 month free replacement warranties.
I'm probably going to purchase two 6V batteries for my TT in the next month, but am undecided whether to go with the Costco Interstate batteries or the Sams Club Energizer batteries. Does anyone know if either brand has a better reputation?
Here in Reno the Sam's Energizer has 208 AH (per website and Sam's clerk)and from what the Costco guy told me the Costco Interstate has 220AH (This seems to be a standard unit and may be the same everywhere)Here both units are $78.83. I'm going for the Costco due to the 220AH rating. I doubt that there is a major quality difference as both units have good reviews.

The Sams Club Envergizer GC battery I looked at here in Phoenix yesterday is labelled right on the battery as 220 AH rating, NOT 208. Does anyone know who manufactures the Energizer GC 6V 220 AH battery?
Costco's Interstate GC battery was NOT marked as to AH rating, and the employee said they had no stats on it. Peachy! Does anyone know the correct verifiable amp hour rating for those Interstate Costco CG batteries? The newer Costco Interstate 6V GC batteries are clear / white with a green top, as opposed to the older ones, which have a black box. I could tell by the born dates that the black case batteries are the older of the two they had in stock at my Phoenix Costco.

It looks like "different places, different faces" as here is the San's Club website information that is the same as the battery on the shelf according to the sales clerk.:
High density paste increases power, battery life, and toughness. Thick, high antimony grids increases battery cycles for better performance. With its gang vent design maintenacne is more convenient when opening caps & adding water. Chemically engineered to reduce gassing and water loss.

If your Sam's Club carries the 220 AMP Hr. and it is closer to you, then I'd go for that one.

I just called Sam's and the previous clerk who had concurred with the web site apparently apparently did not look at the battery on the shelf. The Sam's Club GC Battery here in Reno turns out to be 220 AMP HR. Oh Boy !
If they are the green top, go with the Costco, I just bought a pair and they weigh 67 pounds which is what the interstate spec says. So they are 232 amp hours.
