Certain RV antennas come with a built in signal booster.

In terms of simplicity, ease of use, that is your best bet.

Winegard Sensar IV is the industry standard for RVs:

Note one model is not amplified.

If you are splitting signal into more than 2 devices, it will benefit from additional amplification.

For campground cable connections --- use a drop amp.

Viewsonics is the industry standard brand there.

If you had googled the Jack antenna you would have found that it comes with an amplifier:

Not necessarily. If I buy one, I will not buy the complete unit, only the antenna itself. It does NOT come with the amp unless you buy the entire unit.

This link jack
will show you what you get in the kit including the amp if you have one in the wall you dont have to use theirs it is all very clear in the instructions.

I guess the confusion (at least on my part) is because the antenna itself says it comes with a "built-in" amplifier. The complete kit with mast etc comes with the wall-mount amplifier etc. In my case, I would not need the wall-mount part since I can use my existing amp which is already installed in the MH. My question about amps was whether to upgrade my present unit or keep what I have. Anyway what I will probably do is to purchase the antenna only and give it a try and only upgrade amps if necessary. Thanks for your input.
