By looking at the map I am driving I-40 from Needles CA to Kingman AZ it seems I-40 is making a large circle, if I take hwy 95 from Needles to Laughlin then east to Kingman, do I save time and distance or should I stay a I-40.

If you look on google maps you'll see those secondary roads cut through mountains, and as I remember 68 was steep.

Freeway skirts them.

The route on I40 is actualy the faster and also shorter by 1 mile.
The climb out of Laughlin is 6%-7% grade.

Yes but by going threw Laughlin you get to play the slots and eat cheap, the road East out of Laughlin is not that bad, always been my way to go,

X2

Unless you want to eat cheap and donate money to the Casino's, then Laughlin may be your choosing.

Unless you want to visit Laughlin, stay on 40.

Also, don't plan on fueling at Needles. The fuel prices are crazy and there are several RV scam artists in the area. Fuel is avaialable at exit 9 in AZ at much better prices.
