I have a 2007 Itasca Navion that has a Sony CDX-A251C radio/compact disk player. It has been working fine until I changed the automotive battery. Now only the CD player will work. The radio will turn on and show the frequency on the display but there is no sound. Not even static. Tried different stations, AM, FM. It has an auxillary mode too - checked that, it's off.

I tried resetting it multiple times but that doesn't work. Any ideas?

Is the antenna connected?

It lost its security code. Need to reenter the code.

Times 3. It is an anti theft ddevice, it is set up that if someone stole it, they have to disconnect from the power, and when they try to sell it on the market, it won't work until they enter the security code. So when you changed the battery, you removed the power supply and you need to enter the security code. Look in the radio manual to find the code

Thanks for the responses! Antenna connected. I couldn't find a security code in the manual. Looked through the whole thing. It will play CD's fine. The radio will display the frequency, but there is no sound at all. Maybe I fried it somehow replacing the battery?

It does seem weird that the CD player works, but maybe the security lockout only affects the radio.

According to this link to your manual, there's a reset button you have to push in after you've had the battery disconnected. Access to the button is by pulling off the radio's faceplate.
