Well I changed out a faulty A/C unit today and no matter how careful I was I still managed to make two very small tears in the roof. The two tears are about a 1/4" long and are all the way through to the wood decking. I don't have any eternabond and it will take a couple of days to find some however I have a brand new tube of Dicor. Since the tears are so small would just the Dicor work? By the way the tears are so small I had to mark them with a sharpie so I could find them when I went back up there. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick replies. I will Dicor it now and tape it later. Thanks again.

Dicor will work just fine...but

I like Eternabond even better.
If it isn't going to rain in the next couple of days, I'd probably wait the couple of days it will take you to get Eternabond...
Maybe even just cover over the 1/4" tears with some duct tape until you get the Eternbond..

I'd use the Dicor now and then cover with the Eterabond on top for insurance. Randu

You can easily go over the Dicor with Eternabond when you get it just don't put the Dicor to mounded so the ebond will lay flat. JMHO Jb. Get it protected now!

..............I'd take that trailer and temporarily store it under cover until I rece'd my new roll of eternabond ! Dicor is going to take several days too form a hardened , sealed surface . And , you can't reset your airconditioner until the dicor seals ! Eternabond seals instantly and presents a uniform , strong surface to rest the air unit upon , instantly.........NOT 5 days from now ! , jf

Dicor will do the job until you can get some eternabond.

If you have a nearby Walmart, check the Auto Dept. I was surprised to find a roof patch kit in the RV section with ETERNABOND repair tape in it.
