DW and I got the itch about 4 weeks ago. Thought we would go last weekend and try our NTU Rockwood PUP but we couldn't find any open state parks. We found one that opens up today so we're heading out. See you at the campsite!
30+ years tent campers, just moved up to PUP. Looking forward to the experience

Oh no, you are not the only one. We go to a state park every year the week before memorial day weekend. After that it's ruined, chicken bones everywhere and stuff like that. We plan to take off and full time in July, but we'll be at our favorite state park the week before memorial day weekend this year too.
We did go to a koa 2 weeks ago too.

DH and I feel fortunate to live in CA. We are able to camp year round. We try to go out one weekend a month. As soon as we get home from one camping trip we are planning the next one.

I am anxiously awaiting our Memorial Day trip this year too. will be the first for this year although last year we had two trips in already but hubbies work schedule and the kids soccer precluded that this year.
He had the trailer out in our driveway for two weeks though to get it all ready for the season. He and the kids camped in it but I was too sick with bronchitis to do so. They were escaping my nighttime cough.

We can't wait to get going either. We typically camp between 65-70 nights a season; bring it on!

Think about it? Heck, I DREAM about camping at least 2-3 nights a week. I recently went through an extended period of insomnia where I was waking up 10-15 times a night. I stopped dreaming almost entirely. My doctor thought I was nuts when I went in and told her that the most disturbing part was that I wasn't dreaming about camping anymore. She adjusted my meds and the camping dreams resumed.Even when I'm not camping, I'm camping!

Which part of W Va? I've vacationed in the Hinton/Bluestone Lake area, at Pipestem State Park. Beautiful country - just sitting and watching the morning mist drifting across the mountains I could feel my blood pressure settle down and my anxieties slip off me like an old sweater.

Leenite in Baltimore We're going to A small CG called Trout Pond, in north east WV, a gorgeous little CG exactly in the middle of nowhere, the nearest thing that even resembles a town is Wardensville.

I'm with you Zackyboy3rs. Can't stop thinking about the upcoming camping trip this weekend either. Hopefully, the park isn't too crowded this year so that we'll have a little more peace and quiet.
