Memorial Day will be first trip out for the year...of course it could turn into the 4th of July as I will be camping not far from my soon to be ex-in-laws

Sure wish my buddy, Weathershak, could be there....

Camping???? Nope, don't even think about it....I just do it. Besides, our 5th wheel is our home and we love to go places. Will be glad when retirement comes along. 2016 is calling our name.

We did for over 30 years.

Now that we full time, every day is camping.

Would not give it up for the world.

Camping Rig:
2005 Dodge 3500 - Dually- Cummins
2006 Outback 27 RSDS
We also have with us two "fur babies". A Basset Hound and a Chihuahua mix. Both are rescue dogs.

Fulltimers since June 2006

zackyboy, by the sound of it, you & I are the only ones working, everyone else just get to go when they feel like it, next year, I will too. Although we did get away for 4 days in early April.

What's wrong with hooking up on Friday after work and coming home early Monday morning before work. That's what I always do. Heck, I usually get weekends off unless were in the field. I don't get vacations. Just weekends. I go out every weekend I can.

Went camping 2 weekends in January, 2 in February (Camping at a snowpark in the Cascade Mountains + Snowmobiles + 18 inches of fresh powder on top of 4ft of packed snow = an AMAZING weekends), missed March, went this past weekend, and going again this weekend.

Head out Friday after work and head home Sunday afternoon to come back to the real world of work and kids to school Monday morning

Its nice to see others feel the same as I do. We try and get out 2-3 wknds a month. There are so many state parks and reasonable places to camp here we are very fortunate. Waiting for Memorial weekend? I can't imagine. We camp all year no matter if its snowing or its sunny. Places are usually less crowded and we have found some cg are free. Yes we don't have amenitites but we do have a gen. We have spent many weekends in Jan and Feb sitting by a campfire.

Nothing wrong with being antsy. We're more like obsessed in my house. Watched the camping countdown app on my smartphone religiously all winter. Because we scored a 5 month seasonal site only 25 minutes from home, it's more like a cabin and we can go there anytime we want all summer long. No packing or hooking up. Just pure camping bliss!

The DH and I both work full time but hoarded our vacation and modified our hours, so we can officially camp more days than work this summer! Yay!
