I re-purposed an old Rubbermaid cooler, works great so far!

That is genius. I think I have an old cooler just like that too. A cooler would take the weight so much better than this cheap storage bin I have it in right now.

Same here! One day I'll help someone!

How do the handles feel when picking up the hitch? Do they feel like they're about to snap off or pretty solid?

At campgrounds, I move the hitch from the TV to the TT while DW works the ball catch and lock it on. I keep the bars in the pass through. At home I keep the hitch on the garage floor. It slides easily on the concrete

So far, so good! Does not feel any heavier than the cooler filled with adult beverages and ice!
