I do not have a spare tire carrier on my camper so I keep it in a large trash bag under our bed. I'm thinking out of the sun should be better and also theft proof.

That seems like a good idea. I don't have a spare at all. When we did the walkthrough the tech thought that it may be stored under it somewhere but we never found it.

Interesting enough, ours came with a bumper mounted spare, but did not come with a jack/tire tools. I do have ERS, not overly worried. I could also do the a "step up" on some levelers to get the height to change it, presuming my truck's tire tool would work on the trailer lug nuts, in the event of no cellular service.

Sad to say, time to sell to a good home.

Yeah, you might get a spare, but nothing to change it with..

I carry a cheapie 2.5 ton floor jack AND a 6 ton bottle jack (depending on the situation, either will come in handy.. ) and I got one of those "+" shapped lug wrench things with 4 different sizes on it.. It works much easier to bust loose the lugs too (more leverage).

I don't know.. seems like under the bed is a better place for bedding than a tire.

Ours is on the back "bumper" of the trailer. Factory/dealer installed. The bumper is reinforced with some additional bracing and such welded to the frame. I also have a bike rack on the bumper..

The spare has a cover on it and I check it every year for condition and pressure. 9 years and still good enough for a spare tire.. It's never touched the ground either..

I use the under bed storage area for our lounge chairs and the outside folding tables and such.

But, if you don't need the storage space, the spare would ride fine in there!

Our Nash 22H came from the factory with the spare mounted on the rear bumper.
Didn't care for that set-up. Made a drop down platform using 1.5" angle iron and
1/2" treated plywood and mounted it just ahead of the front axle. Platform is hinged
on one side and held up with a 1/2" threaded rod on the other side. These two sides
are mounted to the left and right frames just ahead of the front axle.
The platform is actually wide enough for 2 spares (say for an AK trip) or we use it for lawn chair storage (bungied tight).
The platform hangs no lower than the axles and provides more solid, secure, out of the way
place to keep the alloy rimed spare.... and gives the back of the TT a cleaner look IMO.

Our spare tire is under the trailer frame just in front of the axles.
It cranks down just like a spare on a gmc pickup.
The trailer outfits sell this device.
It came stock on our 2002 Komfort 21T.
Best setup in our 4 RV's.

Mine is under the tongue. Weird place. I think I'm going to move it to the back bumper.

Something like this....
