Yes, I was hoping for a campground in Jackson or north towards Grand Tetons. Colter Bay was my first choice, but was too late.....they are full after 10 June for the summer.
What about Headwaters or Gros Ventre at Flagg Ranch? Any experience with those?

Flagg Ranch only has 20 or 30 amp power if I remember. Colter Bay is the best I think and you may want to check for cancellations. When we were staying there we had a large black bear walk right under our bedroom at the king pin. It's in the woods.
Gros Ventre and Flagg Ranch are two different parks. Gros Ventre has no hookups and is part of the national park and is an excellent place to stay. It has a dump station. Flagg Ranch has 20A hookups, is private and is very run down.

We stayed at Grizzly RV Resort and toured the whole countryside based out of this great rv park. Tetons and all the way into Idaho looking at all of Yellowstone while there. Check it out.

Carried out great chocolate cake from the resaurant. Remember that their are 350 non reservation sites there also. Not full HU but great location

We have reservations at the end of June for Flagg Ranch(Colter Bay was full). It is now under the ownership of the NPS. We even received half price for our National Parks Senior Pass.I was hoping that someone would post some updated reviews. Most of the older reviews are not very encouraging. Anyone been this year?

I second this suggestion--this is really a pleasant place to stay in the Jackson area--a bit of a drive but an easy and scenic drive to Jackson. Plus there is plenty to do around Star Valley/Alpine/Palisades as well. Might also want to look at the campgrounds over int he Driggs/Victor area--just 25 miles from Jackson.
