There is a 3rd option to think about. The Fan/Mate Cover. Best rain coverage of the three.

We went w/ the maxxair II for the bedroom and we used the original max air for the bathroom. Ours also are 2 different colors (plain white for bathroom and smoke to see through for the bedroom). We didn't have the money at the time for 2 maxxairs and to be honest, I am not sure I notice much of a difference between the two, but we are quick to put the AC on in the TT.

I just installed the Camping World vents covers on my trailer. They have small side vents in addtion to the main vent. For $20 each, I thought I would try it out.

Are you covering a power fan? If so, the Fan Mate is recommended due to the additional air movement, but I've seen that quite a feew have used the Maxair II. I've got the FM, and usually leave my vent open 24/7/365, except when heating or cooling.

If was to pony up the dollars for Max Air product, go ahead and get the II. The angled side vents could be an advantage.
I'm using the Camco units one year so far. The labels peel right off.
