OK the clickig is coming from a black box on the fire wall by the gas paddle. it is about 5in x 5in with wires going to it that says Allison ON it with a P/N###### IF this box dont click it dont start. and it seems to be taking longer to click. I want to start it today and it took like 10min befor it would let me start it. and theres nothing I can do to help it along. please help!! befor I get stuck for good.

How many miles on it and when was your last service done?

i believe what you are describing is called a "vim" which is a vechile interface module and it has to see certain things like neutral in order to allow start signal to be sent to starter. there are relays in this box and you may have a wealk one. good luck.

"Allison" tells me it has something to do with your transmission.

Possibly a relay going/gone bad, or circuit breaker.

Sounds like an ignition (not start) solenoid.

Can you open the box and determine what is in there.

The Allison ECM, like other items that are only ON when the ignition is on will, of course, only illuminate when it has power. As will engine start, etc.
