REALLY would like to pull out the awning and check it out. Does anybody know of an online video for a manual Dometic A&E awning?? HELP...maybe any video of any awning would work!

I think you would be amazed at the dirth of information on YouTube.
Just go to YouTube and type in operating a manual awning, or empting RV black tank, or which ever items you need general info about.

Hook water up----be sure the facets are off----hook the sewer up with gloves--bleed the hot water tank---hook power cord up--all eletrics off---put in the breaker on the power pole. Happy-camping

I doubt you find an inclusive step-by-step procedure in your manual. Read it and then use it for reference. Do you have slides? It should tell you what order to perform leveling steps in, such as "level before deploying slides". I like to put my front levels down to stabilize the front end and specifically the windshield, so there is less yaw on the glass.

As you go through the steps, make notes. Get rubber gloves for the sewer hose.

Another pre move task is preparing your MH. What have you stocked it with? What about the mustard? You might want to live in it 3-4 nights to get a feel and right down what you don't have and isn't in the sticks and bricks. The first few times you are in it, you will find your arrangement and items you need.

Have fun.

Congratulations LuAnne! I hope you get it all figured out. There is plenty of help on the forum and many great suggestions have already been made. You sound like a very adventurous person and will no doubt find all the answers. I was pleased to see your name...my wife's name is the same LuAnne. She has always said that there are very few who spell there name that way. God bless you on your travels with all His traveling mercies!

Thank you....I wouldn't even plug the RV into electricity to check anything out. I was too afraid of burning something up! At mechanic right now for total checkover and any repairs....and, the mechanic is going to go over everything with me when he is done to show me how to use everything WHOOOOHOOOO!!!

Congrats on becoming an RVer! I'm sure you will love it and you will definitely enjoy the Yosemite area. Like others have said, there is plenty of info online and here on the forum. We owned a Flair as well sometime back, but the local Fleetwood dealer was horrible so it wasn't a good experience. Enjoy and don't be afraid to ask questions here. 6 rv's ago we didn't know anything either.
