Wife is thinking about buying a memory foam topper for the RV. She is concerned that some have complained about an odor that comes from it. Anybody got a comment? Thanks.

They stink, we used dryer sheets and stuffed it in a plastic bag. It helped, We ended up ditching the topper for a memory foam mattress though, we put dryer sheets under the fitted sheets. Won't sleep on them just there until our first trip.

They have an odor when you first take them out of the package that lasts a few hours. It quickly goes away and there's never any odor after that -- at least that's the way ours have been. We've added foam toppers to the RV, the boat, our bed at home and the guest room bed. They're nice!

We put the memory foam topper on the bed in the RV a few years ago. Best thing we ever did. It worked very well without any smell. So we then bought a King size memory mattress on our bed in S&B and love it. Macktee

The smell should go away quickly, if not take it back. We've had several and yes when you open them up to roll em out they do stink/smell, but it shouldn't last.

Let it air out for a few hours and after it is covered with a mattress cover and a sheet you should not notice any odor. That's how it went with our's.

Once they are aired out, they are good to go.
