We applied and recieved the good sam flying j credit card for gas purchases.
In our town I have checked prices at flying j and other gas stations. Flying J gas prices are about 10 cents higher than other stops, so with the 6 cents off we would still be paying 4 cents more a gallon.
We are planning a trip to Louisana this fall, which has about 16 flying Js on our route.
Can anyone from these areas let me know if it would be even worth going out of our way to use the flying J credit card.
I was just wandering if anyone else had found this situation.

My gas price app shows the lowest price for gas in Elton at $3.64 at a unbranded station. Flying J at $3.69. A Shell station the highest at $3.75. With the others between $3.69 and $3.73.

We used our card on our return from FL. I checked the Flying J website every night and picked the best stop for fuel from there list of Flying J or Pilot stations. We made 4 stops and they were all the lowest in the area. The Pilot Travel Centers are a little tight since they don't have RV pumps. Only complaint is that non RVs pulling into the RV lanes, in one case it was a comerial pick up and the drive parked there to go in and get some food. I was nice and explained that the area was not for parking but for RVs to refuel.

Here is the link to Flying J Fuel Prices. U can use this to judge what the fuel prices are in reference to other locations. FYI, all the major truckstops have a webpage with current prices for each location.

That is one of the things that just burns me. Inconsiderate folks who gas up and then leave thier vehicle sitting in the fueling lanes while they go to the bathroom or the Wendy's or whatever...and there you sit waiting for some fool to come back and move. Not a real big problem if you are just in your car but when you are hooked up to the TT or in your MH with a toad it is.

We us Gas Buddy for finding prices.

Our Flying J is fine for regular gas, but horrible for diesel.

In North East, MD Flying J wants 4.19 for diesel and the Citgo a few blocks away want 3.95.

I don't even bother with Pilot/Flying J/Travel Centers or any 'trucker' fuel station due to having higher fuel pricing, lines, hassle etc.

I always go down the street, pull in, fuel up and be on my way...cheaper and easier.

Yep. No J, or Love's, or TA, or any of them.

I have heard this about the prices at Flying J/Pilot. Last week in Maryland, I checked Gas Buddy for where to get gas and the Pilot station nearby was actually the cheapest - at least equal with the cheapest. We went there and it was equal with the lowest prices we were seeing. Of course, no way to say this will ever happen again.

Sadly, these days with the price of gas we have to go where the best price is since the prices can vary so widely. (And beware of low looking prices that charge a high hidden fee for use of a credit card.)
