So me and the wife got a new to us TT (Rockwood Roo 27RS)in January. We are flat out loving it...already gone on 5 little camping trips and going on another one this weekend. I plan on having it for a few years and sooner or later stepping up my TV and then looking for something bigger. Oh we have two little girls age 4 and 2.
Our TT has double bunks in front and a rear slide in the back that has the queen bed. The middle part has the sink and stove top and then the fold out couch and dinette. Overall it's a good set up for us except around meal time...there is no room when people are trying to cook go to sit, etc. We try to cook and eat outside as much as we can but I can already tell we could "use" something bigger.
The main features I'd like to see is at least one set of bunks and an outside kitchen area. In TTs the one I like is the Bullet Premier. What are some 5ers that have these features? I have not spent time looking at them much but I want to keep my options open and it's clear 5ers have a lot more space but I just have never seen one with a BH.
TT: 2013 Jayco Eagle 314
Truck: 2006 GMC 2500HD Duramax
Duck Gun: Benelli Super Black Eagle II
After looking at this I think I'd want one closer to 30'. I have a pad in the back yard that is 30'...obviously I could hang the back over it a few feet but I was also planning to have a cover/port built and I'm thinking it could not hang more than a few feet over.

Not on the list are some of the shorter bunkhouses and many models that have bunks w/o a bunkhouse because they're typically only partially open. When talking to our daughter, she said that she would prefer to have a real bed made w/ a sheet + blanket vs. sleeping in a sleeping bag. Which, for us, meant that the entire bed needed to be accessible.
Not sure I understand what "entire bed needs to be accessible". Are you saying three sides are not touching a wall?
Our bunks have walls on three sides and we still use regular sheets. Fitted and a flat sheet. Topped by a comforter.
To the OP, back when ours was built pretty much everything was rear bunks front queen in the bunkhouse designs. Now they figured out kids are shorter and several models have bunks up front with the adults in the taller rear bedroom.

Look at the Sandpiper line. We have had two of them now in the last two years. We really like them. The first one was a '11 355QBQ with outside kitchen and the other a '12 365SAQ with outside kitchen. Yes, the 365 is a bit longer than the 355, but we liked the new design of the kitchen in the 365. Also, Sierra has the same floor plans with different interior colors and a few different options.

Sorry, I didn't explain that right. I meant where 3 1/2 sides are blocked by walls. Like this Jayco (picked randomly):
My wife and I had very particular requirements which put the lengths into the high 30s and low 40s feet.
As for the front bunkhouses - again, our needs were different and personal opinion/preference comes into play. We regularly have 2 other adults camping with us. Either grand-parents or kids' friend's parents. We felt the front bunkhouses a bit cramped and couldn't see putting the visiting adults to them. The other concern we had was that as the kids grow up, would the space up there become cramped for them + friends.
BUT- again, different strokes for different folks. I totally can see why people would want shorter lengths, not be bothered by the things that bother us and/or just have different needs.
That makes too much sense belairbrian! The one I've looked up had the bunks in the back. For me that's really not as important....it's the space in the middle but why not have the bigger area in the back since that's where I'll be sleeping!
