I am looking (via internet & pictures) at a 2001 26 Rear Bed Born Free and considering purchase. What should I be aware of? Coach problems; Engine issues (Ford E450 gas); transmission? I have noticed several mentions of new exhaust manafolds. Why? This would be our first MH, moving from a TT. Any help would be appreciated.

Core issue is price.
There is nothing that can't be fixed for a modest amount of money.
Mileage?
Problem?
A new engine is inexpensive to install on that thing.
Ford transmissions rarely have problems --- are you sure?

If you agree on a purchase price then you can finalize the deal based
on a complete inspection by a local professional.

Like every thing else that you buy used you taking a chance.I bought
a 1995 Born Free unseen on the Inter Net.Flew to Arizona and drove home to Los Angeles.Never looked back. But I all ready knew the quality of the
motorhome.Thinks to look for milage how many owners reason for selling
and price. The motor homes are high quality idems.Be care full if you find a # real# bargain. The factory has the best customer service.
