Wonder if I can retro-fit mine.....
Copied from the newer manual>>>

Another important point in the use and maintenance of your SuperGlide is the need to lubricate the moving parts.
SuperGlide hitches manufactured after November 2009 are equipped with Plastic Wear Plates and require a light oil
application to enhance the movement of the Turntable Cam Arm Assembly on the Way Tubes. Hitches manufactured
prior to November 2009 require a heavier application of a lubricant to operate the hitch properly because of the metal-tometal
interaction of the Turntable Cam Arm Assembly and the Way Tubes. If proper lubrication is not present, the forces
involved cause the metal surfaces to bond. This condition
is known as galling.

Think I said that. Hahaha...

I actually talked to Pullrite a while back and asked about retro fitting the older hitches with the delrin glide pads. They WERE suppose to have a kit coming, but last I asked it still wasn't out yet.

Any dry graphite spray should work fine. Check you local hardware and commercial supply stores.

Just talked to factory about the retrofit change over kit. They decided it would not be practical, so will not come out with that. I'm tired of missing with the slip plate. Per instructions, it says to take apart once a year, and sand down way tubes and cam, and restart applying new slip plate to parts then reinstall. Just finding as I age it just is no that easy anymore. New hitch without mounting parts is over 1200.00 hundred at Tweety's. That is the cheapest I've found. Guess I will tear down the hitch I have and go through the process another year. I love the hitch except for the slip plate.

Look at the brite side. Once a year you get the opportunity to tear apart the most important part of your truck trailer combination and inspect.

Peace of mind "PRICELESS"

I have had my hitch for 9 years and still use the white lithium grease. Easy to obtain and apply. Once a year I wipe the old grease off the tubes and apply all new grease.

That's a bummer. I too am sick of tearng it down every so often. Although I admit that I do not do it once a year either. It's just too much work. I also am starting to wish I had an air ride system that Pullrite doesn't seem inclined to design along with it's Super Glide design. I feel they're missing the boat there.

You are supposed to tear it down?? Once I went Slipplate five years ago I just touch up and go.
I can see the grease the need to clean it up but not with Slipplate.
