Now I am confused...I downloaded the '09 Liberty owners manual as suggested and under the Recreational Towing section it explains how to put things right for towing. In another section of the manual it talks about the two different 4WD systems but says to see the Recreational Towing section for details....as if either system can be put into neutral and towed. It never said that you can tow 4 down with one system, but not the other. I've read the Remco section about the Libertys and see what it says about not towing the system that has no neutral. But the manual explains how to put the transfer case in neutral for both systems. Why does everything have to be so complicated? My head hurts!

get the VIN from the dealer and call Jeep. if you give them the VIN they can look up that specific vehicle and answer your question.
