I need to replace the microwave oven in my RV (5th wheel). How can I remove it from its mount on the wall without damaging the wall? Also, can I replace it with a standard home mount over the range? They appear to be the same size.
Thanks,
Ken

Look in the cupboard above it. You will see two screws. Take them out and the micowave will tip foreword. Unplug it and take it out. Take some measurements of available space and go to Walmart, Lowes, or HD and buy one that will fit.

Our TT never had a MW in it although the space and wiring was there. Made a shelf and found one at WM for $45. That was 4 years ago. Last year that one went south and ended back at WM. Bought 3 different units and brought them home and figured out which one fit the best. returned the remaining two a few days later without any hassel.

when the 15 yr old GE over the range died, we went to home depot and bought another GE over the range MW
drilled new holes in the cabinet using the mounting template that came with the MW, same thing for the rear bracket
Very Happy with it

How to remove I can not answer.
Can you replace it with a standard home unit I can: YES, in fact it *IS* a standard home unit. slightly modified in some cases. I will explain.
Microwaves come in basically 4 flavors for this discussion.. One kind (For example the vintage Tappin I had for many many years at home) Vent hot moist air thrhough a grill on the front when operating.. No modificaton needed for RV use.
Some vent out the side
Some out the top
Some out the back
On these it is common for the RV installer to add some duct work to either take that hot moistur laden air back into the RV (out of the cabinet and into the kitchen) or out of the rv (Through the wall and into the outside air)
You will need to do likewise with your new one.. How to do this is kind of obvious though you may need to do some custom sheet metal work to get 'er done.

over the range is a pretty STD width,
there is a rear bracket for the wall mount, it comes in the box
along with the long bolts used to hang the front and pull it up tight to the cabinet
the fan shroud (rolls/rotates) so you can direct the air out the front grill, or to duct work Top / Back, in rv use out the front grill is very common
