Look very carefully at toy haulers before buying one. Even if you don't need a wheelchair now and are planning to change things if the time comes when you do , you may find that the ramp up the back of the toy hauler is way too steep for a wheelchair to climb safely. You would still have other options though because the toy storage area is so wide opened such as installing a man door and a lift or making the storage area an accessible bathroom/bedroom. Just keep your thoughts on the future as you're looking at RVs. Good luck with your search.

My daughter uses a wheel chair and I recently installed this one
http://www.travelliftchair.com/

in our MH. It allows us to raise her up and put her in the MH where she can use her wheel chair. It is not as expensive as some and appears to be the right choice for us.

There was a Funmover handicap version, wider door from the garage area and wider door into the bathroom along with aisle wide enough to use a wheelchair. We had looked at them when my wife was in a wheelchair several years ago. She was in an electric chair so weight was an issue also.

Also, just as an FYI, there are some class B's to B+ RV's with handicap & wheelchair lifts built in (with slides too).

Otherwise the only thing I can think of would be a Toy Hauler class A or TT.

4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

Newmar now makes their Canyon Star in a wheelchair accessible floor plan. I haven't seen a lot of discussion about it, so I sent you a PM with a link to the website.
You didn't need a PM, others may like the link. Canyon Star

I read that Nexus RV will also discuss with you a custom ADA RV (class b or c).

I use a walker and carry an electric scooter in the back of my Saturn Vue. Our biggest problem with the MH is the 6 steps required to get up there. It becomes a problem when loading but our son lives here and is always willing tohelp on that job. When we go shopping we just pass to the other one inside. We have never gone without a toad.
