But, Where else can you get paid to fish all day in places like Hawaii, Alaska, and other beautiful areas?
P.S. I'm retired military also.

Heck, way back when I had one a lot better then that. Was a contract OAS pilot for the U S Fish and Wildlife Service. When I wasn't flying we went diving along the reefs in FL.. And we wonder what is wrong with government. Oh yeah, I did not make the calls.

As I told my kids as they grew up, if you can find a job that you love AND it pays the bills. Life doesn't get any better than that. Too many people have to settle for one or the other.
Oh and ALL jobs suck at times! Some for a few hours or days and sometimes for extended time but that too shall pass!

That's one of the reasons why government job is so attractive.
Hate living in the house which is like a box.

I have zero clue why my 1st post was deleted.
here we go again.....
I bumped into a man the other day while waiting at the mall. He lives just a little north & east of Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada (about 1/2 way between lake Ontario & James Bay). I asked what he does: 1) Tour guide americans wishing to bear hunt. 2) Works for the government. Since they re-introduced Elk in this area the farmers have had trouble. His job is to go out in the evenings and shoot Elk with rubber bullets to scare them away. Of course, all materials supplied & expenses covered. Kinda think that would be a good job. I might hold out until they re-introduce an invasive bass into the Bay of Quinte and then need help controlling them.....like chasing them all around the bay!
I too am retired Federal Government IT Management
