The road from Sedona to Cottonwood is very good but up thru Jerome it gets steep and twisty ok for a small motorhome but a bit of a chore with anything over 30 feet.If you'r into adventure give it a try. It is a tourest type of place nice restraunt or 2 and micro brewery during the week it is easy to get around but forget the weekends.

I agree. 89 from Cottonwood to Jerome is steep, very narrow, and curvy. Not good for a motor home or RV of almost any type. Jerome is a fun and interesting place, but not in a motor home.
I just went through Jerome last week with our 37ft MH. I don't want to do it again! I was going up on my way to Prescott, I really wouldn't want to take 89A through Jerome going down. It was doable going up but we lucked out without to much traffic. It seemed as if the whole road was only 10ft wide in places (our MH is 8.5ft wide), lots of hairpin turns. My buddy said "watch your mirror" and when I looked the mirror was less than 1" from a brick wall! He said "tourist were jumping out of the way"! But we made it! As we left Jerome a bigger MH with a tag axel coming the other way was stoped at the only place to turn around. He un-hooked his toad, had his wife drive that and turned around and followed us up towards Prescott.

Jerome and the drive on over Mingus mountain are amazing just don't do it towing anything or driving an RV. Leave the rig at the bottom of the hill (Dead Horse Ranch State Park works well), and use your TV or toad to explore the area. You can take 169 out of the Prescott Valley back east to I-17.
