I am trying to decide if I want to use my Honda Odyessy to pull a trailmanor 2720sl or should I go with something more like a Jeep Cherokee or Toyota 4runner(pretty expensive). What do you tow with? I am only at the weekends and a couple weeks a year stage.

The Trailmanor 2720sl has a dry weight of 2900 punds. Loaded it's going to weight about 4000 pounds. No way the Odyessy can handle that much weight. Find a suitable SUV. IMHO

you might want to check the Travel Trailer forum, since the TM is a foldable TT, not a hybrid since it has no canvas bunk ends.
but i agree about that model being too much for the Honda.

My wife's cousin has a 31' Trail Manor, that is a bit heavier than the 2720, that he pulled with an Odyssey. He had a WDH with sway control. It was a white knuckle experience for him. He soon traded up to a Honda Ridgeline and things are much better.

Check with Honda to be sure your van is rated for at least 4,000 lb. plus the weight of the cargo and people in the van. I was under the impression that the Honda was rated for only 3500 lb. but I could be wrong. If that's correct you would be about a thousand pounds overweight when loaded.

Thanks for all the input. I guess you are right and it would not be wise to try to tow with the Honda. Guess I will start looking at something a little more powerful and able to handle up to 5k lbs.

Just for reference Our HTT is 2,990 dry. Loaded ready to camp tips scales at 3,490. We wish we had a Trail Manor. Best of luck.

Years ago a couple with a Ody bought out 3023. A bit heavier than the 2720 but... the back of that van was making out with the road. Too much weight IMO. I used a 98 Ranger 4.0 to tow it - 5660 rating on that truck and it did great. You'ld be well served to look for a more robust TV. Just my opinion but I don't think that Honda makes a good TV at all. The Jeep or Toyo would work better. You could also consider a Explorer or Chevy Express van (if you want that size). Toyo's pick-ups would also do the job, as would a robust Nissan.
Whichever option you go with get a WD hitch. Those TM's have a lot of tongue weight.
Too bad the Astro and Aerostar vans are no longer viable options - decent tow ratings, good frames and AWD options with seating for 7. My parent's old Aerostar was very comfortable and I think was rated to pull 4500 - but is been a lot of years since that time.

A Tahoe or similar full frame SUV will tow that trailer no problem, still seat 7+, and be fairly inexpensive to buy used. A full size van also would. You are probably going to give up a couple of mpg upgrading from the Oddy to something that can tow 5k pounds unless you can get something really new. I get 17mpg on the highway with my 2003 Tahoe, which is probably similar to what a Cherokee or Xterra gets. I've got seating for 9, but egress isn't as easy due to the high stance and regular doors.
