We have Dish at home but now am going to get one set up in my fiver. I am planning on getting a Winegard Carryout and just run it to one TV in entertainment center, I would like to have the DVR option. We have the 722 in the house Which receiver would you good folks recommend I get for the camper.

Any receiver that will work at home should also work in the RV. It of course would need to be a DVR receiver to have DVR in the RV.

Any of the Dish recievers will work with the Carryout. We have a Carryout and just take 2 of the receivers from the house when we travel. Had our Cameo factory wired for satelite in the living room, bedroom and basement when it was built.

Why not take the receiver from the house?

If you brought your 722, you have 2 receivers (one HD & one SD) + a DVR.
I'm partial to the 211k because it's small & you can add a USB hard drive to turn it into a DVR, but the 722 is hard to beat, and you already have one.

Why not save some money and get a Dish Tailgater and a 211K receiver. It will do the same thing for a lot less money and it doesn't need to have a separate wire for power running to it. I have one and love it.

I'm a real novice but we use a standard dish 1000 (Craigslist)and a 625 DVR (InstallerOasis.com). The reason we did this was I can watch one channel in the front and DW can watch a different channel in the bedroom. We just like differnt shows. We haven't used the DVR portion. All the options made my head swim. Read most posts about Dish & Direct to get some 'edumacation' so I went from an idiot to a novice (big leap).
Added the 625 to our home account for $11.99 month w/DVR or w/o DVR it was $9.99. We had to get the DVR if we wanted the differnt channel capability
