I would worry about the hitch only being rated for 3000 lbs.

This post is my opinion (free advice). It is not intended to influence anyone's judgment nor do I advocate anyone do what I propose.

We launch our boat with our DP. Now problem what so ever. Almost as easy as a pick up. The ones telling you that the rear will be in the water have never launched a boat. The rear of my DP.is not even close to the water with all the rear over hang it is further from the water than my pick up truck is.

And yes someone will post a picture of a MH. in the lake. It can happen just like it can with a truck. When we had a 5th wheel we took 2 vehicles to the lake one time. The next week I had a frame mounted hitch welded to my 5th wheel and towed the boat behind the 5th. I did this safely for close to 7 years.

Hi REINELL31,

Good to see another Montana guy - Lets hope this rain and snow quits SOON

Yes indeed you can and I do very easily tow and launch boats behind a Class A 27ft 8.1L Gas rig. I have towed all my power boats including 22ft pontoon boat, an 18ft Reinell runabout, 7ft jet skies and a 14ft fishing boat all over Montana.

Get a rear view camera with audio makes life a lot eaiser

Enjoy the boating
