Leaving in about 6 weeks for CO. Normally, we stretch out further up into the greater Yellowstone area but fuel prices are ridiculous. I bought an excellent guidedbook detailing some of the mountain passes of CO. So, we plan on spending time in different parts of the state and riding the passes close to each area. We'll be up there about a week and a half and then, come back and round out the trip with a few days on the beach. Surf and turf ! Can't wait

Just got back from 5 days in Georgia. Went to the big radio control event in Andersonville, Ga. (Called SEFF) Spent 2 days there. Moved to Cordele for 2 nights. Rode the SAM shorline excersion train.

Next day followd Sleepy's footsteps and spent a day at the Andersonville National Site( Civil war prison camp).

Returning home, spent the last night at Little Ockmulgee State Park in Ga. before back to n. fl and work.

Have another 3-4 day trip to the fl panhandle to see sister Memorial Day. Lots of weekend trips as work and money allow for this year.

Paid for a camper, going to try and wear it out.

Continuing with 3 to 4 day weekend trips (I have 220+ sick days on the books that I need to use up) and a week at Bethany Beach in Delaware sometime in the late summer. Another couple of years and I may run in to some of you on these extended trips. I probably have 10 - 15 planned out on MS Streets & Trips.

In a nutshell, Lake Powell, backroads of Grand Staircase (Smokey Mtn. Road, Hole in the Rock, Burr Trail, Cathedral Valley), Skyline Drive area, Strawberry Reservoir, Mirror Lake Scenic Byway, Wind River Range (love that mountain range, the little I have seen of it). Then, Flaming Gorge, Arches NP, Moab, Canyonlands NP, Mesa Verde, Ouray and Durango. Then possibly down to Taos/Angelfire area and Santa Fe, depending on the time left. Probably head home (Mexico) by going along the Mogollon and then back to Tucson and the border crossing. 2.5-3 months.

Boondocking recommendations welcome in ANY of these areas! Campgrounds are a last resort.
