When we ordered the trailer, Camping World sells and installs these adapters for there customers if they want one, therefore if it is a warranty issue down the road, then why isn't Camping World telling people that they will not sell or install this hitch setup for warranty reasons. Why did they sell it to you......it's a product that is available on the market, they are in the business of selling items and making a profit from the sales.
No different then the corner store selling you a pack of cigarettes.

Yes I do read ALL the literature/manuals/instructions and more importantly the Exclusions. When I drop that kind of money on a product I make a point of reading as much as possible before & after the purchase.

Just because a 'salesman' says YES doesn't mean it's true, appropriate or necessary.

I think I have the best managers. All of us have room for improvement but it's my job to set the expectations, train them and hold them accountable. They are making great strides and the ones that don't get cut.

It does not take any talent to fire people but rather to make them better.

I look you honest, energetic people who listen and learn.

I would ask that you be patient with them.
I promise you they feel the pressure. There is a balance as well.

I love my team and would go to battle with any of them unless they fall short or doing what they say they will, treating their co workers with disrespect or show any customer disrespect or lack empathy.

This is a people business but is also a process business.

We are rewriting process and improving people

Hang in there with me. We will get to world class.

I would agree if they bought the goose neck adapter and had it installed from a place that doesn't sell campers. The salesman, techs and management should know if they are selling a product that will void the warranty on the camper that they are selling as well. At minimum they should inform the customer and have them sign a damage waiver excusing them from liability due to the installation of a warranty voiding product.

When I was a newbie, I counted on the dealer to equip my TV with the proper hitch. I also counted on them to set it up correctly. I was a newb at WD and sway control but had pulled many other types of trailers.

I got lucky and they sold a quality hitch to me. However, the tech didn't set it up right. I got educated real quick.

I don't think it should be expected of the customer to sit down and read the owner's manuals BEFORE PURCHACE. Come on, who are we kidding? There are some things you can expect of the pros. We all can't be experts at everything. If that is expected, nobody would buy anything.

I guess it would be nice if a dealer advised you that some item you bought would void your warranty. But does any business do that? Not that I am aware of.

CW sells Banks systems. In most truck brands, installing Banks will void your drive train warranty. If CW told every customer that, how long do you think they would remain a Banks dealer?

If CW told every customer that an Anderson gooseneck adapter would void their frame warranty, how long do you think they would remain an Anderson dealer?

I could go on with any number of aftermarket accessories that may void your warranty, but hopefully you get the idea.

Expecting CW to pay to repair your frame, when the manufacturers have denied responsibility, is not a reasonable expectation.

True, due diligence is a good idea on anything you buy. But,we as the "Professionals" (Dealers)are trusted by the customer to help them make safe and educated decisions on all their needs. Be it, can my vehicle tow that camper, do I need a brake control, will this void my warranty if I install it on my rig?...Anybody can take an order. The ball was dropped on both sides this time.

So I take from your statement that 'you' would not sell a customer a gooseneck adapter, would not sell them a 15,000# trailer cause they have a 150/1500 truck or a really low end timing activated brake controller vs a proportional activated one?
