Looking at buying a Fleetwood Flair-30' with a V-10 -In 2000 did they have enough HP--getting away from autopark brake and rusting under carriage-anybody have a Flair????--Good little MH from what I,ve looked at---rich
Rich, V10 indicates you are looking at a Ford F53 chassis under that Flair. @ 310 HP, you should not want for power. The auto-park system was a Chevy/Workhorse thing. Rusting under carriage is usually from being in salt air on the coasts. The Flair is entry level in that year. Same basic coach and chassis as other Fleetwood models, just lesser appointments.

I have a 2000 Flair 32' now for 12 years. No problems except the usual items that go wrong as time goes on. If maintance was done properly there should be no issues. Good strong engine. I also tow a Saturn with no problem. Been all over the lower 48. In 07 I took a trip from In. to Vancouver BC and back, 95Deg. all the way, no issues going through the mountains. CalD

Thanks Guys -I all but signed the papers-which I /We will do this weekend-She has only 47k miles & 128 hrs on Genny -Been really cared for inside Pristine outside Maybe 8 out of ten--looks like 16k and the older Bounder And that is actually less than I was shooting for-No slide but we really didn't want one-The hyd jacks work super and no more driving on wood to level-also the emergency brake not only works but holds MH on incline -NO more blocking tires when fueling etc.--roof looks fantastic with minimal caulking & it poured couple days that I sat it in looking for leaks-NOTHING--I drove it on the HWY and it seemed stable without wander--Hope it'll last us a few years as we get older--got to get 6 new tires because they are 6 yrs old--I knew that from the start though--V10 motor runs more RPM than I like but there are tons of them on the road so they can't be that bad--Thanks Rich
