In a search for a new toad, the DW being a loyal VW owner likes the Tiguan. I can't find much anywhere about whether this can be toad on a dolly or 4 down. The Remco site simply lumps all VW's together. But unlike any other VW this is an SUV and also comes in a 4wd model which I would prefer buying but could go ith 2wd/fwd. Anyone have any insight?

You may have to go to the VW dealership and check the manual, don't listen to the salesman, pull the manual and look at towing or recreational towing.

Can't help, but VW policy has ALWAYS been that their vehicles are NOT towable 4 wheels down.
Can't tell you if this is "lawyer speak" or a mechanical issue. And it may be some of each, depending on model.

I'm not sure what VW vehicles you are referring to, but we sold two AWD VW's before going full-time because NEITHER of them could be towed 4-down.

You are correct-- I left out the NOT. Went back and put it in on edit. Thanks.

Don't really care if it can't be towed 4 down as long as I can tow on a dolly. But I can't find any confirming info on either method. One thing is for sure, can't tow it, won't buy it.
