Recently helped my widowed sister-in-law move her MH and get the AC repaired. When I returned to to the parking pad, I picked up the wrong set of keys and left the door key lying on the console between the two seats. Tried every way to get inside and finally gave up and called GS roadside assistance. The lady I spoke with was very cordial and helpful and managed to get a locksmith to come unlock the door. Although he took a while to get there, he was inside the coach very quickly after he arrived.
My question is this > How can this guy operate his business when he had to drive nearly 50 mile to reach us and then 50 miles back? Does Good Sam pay that well? Thanks again Bulldog Locksmith, you did great.

If they didn't pay him well enough to satisfy him, and you didn't tip him well enough to make up any shortfalls, he won't continue working for 'em, will he?

I'm sure that whatever GS loses on some incidents they more than make up for in unused coverage. In the 18 years we've had GS ERS we've used them four times. Three were with our car, including a 'lockout' event. Most years, they are collecting our premiums with no claims. Just like any other insurance.

BTW, our service has been excellent and quite prompt. I shall keep subscribing unless the premiums go up any more.

He probably made a loss but.....
will make up for it on other jobs plus.....
as a businessman, he can use the fact that he might have a contract with Good Sam as leverage for say....credit from a lender that he might need in the future, for say....a new vehicle?

As said, Good Sam could pay him well. They have money from those like us who carry roadside assistance, and have for over 30 years, but only had two cheap calls in all those years.

I'm sure if Good Sam wouldn't have paid him enouggh to do the job, he'd have refused the call in the first place.
