Hey! Nobody's mentioned a pull-test. Texas Tech, do a search on "pull test" and learn about that. VERY important if you want to make sure your FW stays where you want it. :-)

Naturally, four wheelers will pass and pull in right in front of you, but keep your cool and back off if you need to.

Had one do that last weekend. He flew around me on the right and then squeezed in front of me as his lane was a turn only. the light turned yellow right as he got in front of me. He started to slam on the brakes, the back on his SUV shot up. I thought "this ain't good" I can't stop in time. Lucky for me he decided to keep going after all.

Be prepared as everyone will want to pass you or pull out in front of you even if you're going the speed limit. Just be ready for it.

Met a guy while fueling up a while back, who had the perfect solution to that problem. He'd snagged an air horn off an old locomotive and mounted underneath his truck bed. Big, bad compressor in the bed to run it (among his other toys). He refused to light it off under the station canopy, but did as he was pulling onto the street. Even expecting it, I still jumped. :-) 'Bout 130-140 decibels, or thereabouts. Would love to have an electronic version for my Civic! :-)
