That chart says $638.oo a tire PLUS $40 fet. My prices were TOTAL!

One could buy a used coach, swap the tires, turn around and make a bundle.

As fulltimers, we didn't care where we went so called around for best prices. We got them at Les Schwab, Junction City, Oregon - no sales tax. If you're near there, give them a try.

Our tires will be 7 yrs. old next summer so new tires are definitely on the horizon. WOW and OUCH certainly are fitting here!
It would be about 900 miles from our town in California to Oregon to save taxes. At over $6,000 for 8 new tires, the tax savings buying in OR would be a little over $500. But, the fuel cost getting there would knock out any tax savings.
We have a Pete's tire company just down where I store the Coach. I'll give them a try when the time comes. I would hope to think our 'take-offs' would be worth something.

Try Herchick's tire in Macedonia, Ohio, they have a website. I know it's at the wrong end of the state but the savings might well be worth it. Ask for Mike Herchick and tell him Chuck from Pattern Metals gave you his name.

have you tried Gem City Tire at Kemper & Sharon roads?
I purchased 4 Goodyear G670 in 19.5 size with tax, valve stems, bead balancing plus whatever else they added on for $1750, but this price was over a year ago.
wow!! glad I purchased them when I did if prices shot-up that much now.
have you priced Contintal tires? our school busses use them in the 22.5 size with no problems. they are a harder compound I've been told.

What would make you think that your old tires would be worth anything? The way I understand what is going on is the tires are aged out and you would be changing them because they are now unsafe. How could the tire company sell them if they are unsafe? Wouldn't that open the tire shop up to a huge liability? Just trying to see the logic here.

Almost ALL tire stores will charge you to take your old tires...and any tire that isn't cracked and has good tread will be sold by that store. Used tires are always sold "AS IS" "NO WARRANTY"
The place that did mine was glad to see I kept them...they were going to charge $40ea disposal. The tire tech told me they would have been sold that afternoon.
So I put $500 in my pocket for selling them. A local run dump truck owner bought them for his drop axle tires. Drop axles see very limited use

Sure glad my MH has 19.5 tires. 2 yrs ago my 6 DoubleCoin big rig trailer tires were $900 mounted & balanced.
Fulltime livin' & lovin' it in '94 Bounder 32h.
Chevy 454ci Retire in 3yrs.
