We have had Hartford/AARP for over six years. We have had excellent service and our policy rates have dropped every year. They insure our home, motorhome, Dodge truck and Ford Edge. We also have an additional
umbrella liability policy in the amount of $1,000,000.00. We transferred all of our coverage from State Farm and saved over $1800.00 per year. We have had two windshields replaced and had a nearly $12000.00 claim for an uninsured motorist who hit me in the rearend in the Edge. All claims were handled quickly and with no hassle. And as I said, our rates have dropped every year.

Call USAA .... period.

USAA will not insure high dollar MHs or boats, don't know the amount where the cut off is. They will refer you to Progressive, which I will not use (or AARP), due to their political leanings.

Brett, I know this doesn't address your question about Hartford, however if you're considering a change of insurance carriers, I would highly recommend considering "Foremost Insurance Co."

We've had our first and current coach insured with Foremost since 1995, during which time I've filed several claims which were handled promptly, no hassle, and to date, our premium has never increased.

Here's their site if at all interested: http://www.foremost.com/products/motor-home/

Best Regards and safe travels,

Jim

Hi All.

We have had them for quite a few years now. Our rates have stayed the same each year. We both have Spotless Driving Records and No Accidents. We have our Home, two SUVs, one is our Toad, plus our Motorhome.

We also get Free ERS for the Motorhome, Toad and our other SUV also.

We have always carried a lot more insurance than is required, as it doesn't cost hardly anything extra to be covered by a "Million Dollars Plus".

Its worth a few extra dollars to have the Extra Coverage, since we all live in such a "Crummy Sue-Happy Country".

The day we switched, we saved almost $900 Dollars a year, and that was for a lot less coverage, compaired to the coverage we now have.

Great People to work with, and you can actually speak to anyone there, who speaks Perfect English.

Another Plus, is most Insurance Compaines won't let you pay by the year. Becasue those compaines will only let you pay for 6 months at a time, that way when you get a Ticket, or an Accident, they can raise your rates right through the roof.

Its so much easier to pay by the year. Also they never send you any Junk Mail.

Yep, we really like them and will comtinue to keep them. Good Luck. Happy Travels. Dan & Jill

Thanks, Guys. Handled.

It was a bit of an insurance fire drill, as State Farm who we had insurance with for decades cancelled all home owners policies in our area.

Brett, did they give a reason for cancelling the home owners policies??

Just curious, we have our home and 2 vehicles insured by State Farm and our coach with Foremost.

Jim,

Ya, shouldn't be an issue for you in Nevada. We are only 22 miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico. Hurricanes can affect us.

I had Hartford for 5 yrs...one claim..I had the windshields broken by a flying rock...no problems at all..they had a company send a windshield to the installer of my choice and he came out to the house and installed them...no troubles at all..they were the cheapest and best coverage...I switch from AAA to Hartford and saved ....I think they are a good company to deal with...

p.s. just received my yearly renewal..same price as last year...I am a happy camper
