I am pretty sure I know the answer but want to confirm. Would I find solid wood along the edges of the roof, like a 2x4 size solid wood? I want to put is some stout screws to hold a truss system on top of the roof. No weight to speak of, just a way to mount a bunch of solar.

The frame is 2x2 all along the edge

I don't know details about your camper, but I had a similar roof question about mine a while back. I called the factory, and they emailed me a diagram of my camper roof. I appreciated their willingness to help me out.
