During the shuttle program, Titusville would relax the rules about dry camping on the Max Brewer causeway for a night or two before and after the launch. Made for a fair little mini-adventure. Might be worth looking into for just a satellite launch.

Keep the ideas coming...we are planning on a trip back to Winter Garden, FL, because I like to shop at Chicos and eat at Bonefish and visit the old downtown area and eat at the Tasting Room and Chef's Table. This trip, we plan to venture over to Winter Park which is only a short distance from Winter Garden. There is a museum, old town and boat tour I would like to explore.
Next month "The Keys" recommendations will come in handy, because we are planning to go down there. I wonder how the Sprinter will do on the streets of Key West or do we need to leave it at the campground and find another way in to Key West?
Kayaking sounds wonderful, however I don't know if I can talk my dear man into doing it. More later.
We parked in a private lot on Caroline St. between Duvall and Whitehead. Parking was $10 per car for the day and we agreed to pay $20 even though where we parked in the lot didn't take up any more space than one stall. This was on a weekday in October. Weekends might be a little more problematic and you might want to arrive early. The lot hadn't filled up yet so I was able to jockey about and pull backed into a stall against a fence so I had a straight drive out. You can Google Map it. It is right in the heart of the retail/restaurant tourist area. Sloppy Joe's on Duvall is right around the corner.

Google Low Key Hideaway in the super quaint village of Cedar Key. Just four rv spots on the water facing spectacular sunsets with full hookups, funky Tiki Bar, $30 t0 $40 night depending on electric. Wonderfully hospitable, great snorkeling, kayaking and very interesting sightseeing.

Kathy and I will be at Low Key Hideaway Sat/Sun 5/19-20. Google Cedar Key Florida. C of C has excellent website. Kayak rental, boat tour, restaurant and local sights info.
Wish we could meet up, but have already made plans to go to Winter Park and Winter Gardens. I don't know where the year is going. Can't seem to get enough trips into our schedule
So, we were all set to leave tomorrow for Key West, but the weather does not look good. We did not make reservations and were wondering if there are any Florida Keys residents out there that could advise as to whether we should choose another time or "just wing" it this weekend. We were going to stop in Marathon and then go on to Key West Friday.
