Help me find some campgrounds in VA, western VA, western NC, Southern PA, eastern WV that have campspots right on the water, water being a semi-clean lake, not a pond, stream, river, or brook. Big rig accessible. I know of one good one, Goose Point COE, but surely there must be others. Thanks.

Since you mentioned a C.O.E. park, you might find this website helpful. Drag the Google map to the area of interest. Zoom into the area and note that the campgrounds show up like a pin map. The column to the right lists the parks showing on the map and clicking on one will lead you to a website for further information. Be sure to note the "legend" at the bottom to differentiate between symbols.

There are COE parks on Kerr Lake also known as Buggs Island Lake. We've stayed at Northbend and Rudd's Creek. It seemed to me that the sights on the water at Northbend were w/o electric but some others might know better. At Rudd's creek they have several that back up to the water and they have electric/water. The last time we stayed there we were on sight 33 and we had a pathway behind us that led to the water. The site next to us was more on the water and the one beside him was a double site that allowed 2 friends to camp together and it was also on the water. If you look at the map for Rudd's creek you can see the ones that are on the water and a lot of the campers parked their boats in the water behind their site.
