My 5500 runs both a/c's fine. One is a 15K and the other is a 13.5K. No problems at all.

A 5500 will run both A/C's - it's designed to....
However, if you have trouble, check your 110v breaker box. On one RV I had, both A/C's were on the same leg of the panel... Can't run both A/C's like that.
I moved the bedroom A/C to the other leg and all was happy then.

Ours works just fine for both compressors (we have basement air), equivalent to running two A/Cs. We can also run microwave, electric hot water, electric cooking appliance etc. at the same time.
The math: a 5500 watt generator yields about 46 amps (5500/120 volts). Your two A/C's should pull ~22 to 25 amps when both operating, only about half a load.
We can monitor our amps drawn and we sometimes pull 40+ with multiple draws simultaneously. EMS will shed a load if it gets too much.
