We've been camping in our S-17 for 4 seasons now and still love it as much as when we first got it. No regrets here. We thought about upgrading to a 21 foot but we couldn't find anything else we liked with a u-shaped dinnette. It's the only thing that will fit all five of us when it's raining. It can get cramped sometimes but then again, we are camping after all.

The up side of the small size is the great spots we can back into if you're into camping in the wilderness like we are.

I am glad to hear positive things about the u-shaped dinette. We want to upgrade from our popup but wanted to try and stay fairly small.

Thanks for posting

If you have any other questions about the S-17 you can pm me anytime with questions that you might have. . We've done quite a few mods and taken some memorable trips with the family so we can give plenty of tips and pointers on this unit if you are looking for help or advise. .

I'd pass on getting a single axlea 17ft htt, we went with a 21ft htt with bunks. No u dinette to climb over and we don't miss our Flagstaff 625D

We wanted to stay on the smaller side of trailers and the grandkids can crawl over the dinette...

Great minds think alike! The boys sleep in the front bunk, teenager gets her own bed on the dinette and DH and I get to snuggle in the back bunk. Nice and cozy

I saw posted on Palomino's FB page on Wednesday that they have a new floor plan coming for the Stampede S-172. Looks like it is a much better use of space than the previous cramped S-17

That does look nice but I really do not think I need two seating areas. Hopefully someone locally will get one of the two models in so I can see.

Thanks

Does anyone know the true size of the S17 beds? We were told they are not queens. Will 2 adults fit comfortably?

as far as i know, all newer hybrids have RV queen beds. older hybrids often had a rear double bed.
